Here are some good ones, if you don't like twitter.
Twitter is a nice way to learn about what people in an unfamiliar place are talking about. I follow Irish cultural institutions like museums, organizations, and journals. I follow reporters and writers, and then I follow the people who follow them. Parts of twitter are shit, but I've found communities in twitter who expand my horizons.
